Upon completion of this training in the United States, Dr. Kusuma’s passion and interest in partial knee replacement surgery remained strong, and he took time to complete additional training at world-renowned partial knee replacement centers in the United Kingdom and France.

Dr. Kusuma commenced practice in Columbus, Ohio in 2009 and began performing large numbers of partial knee replacements with excellent results and low complication rates. He has now performed hundreds of partial knee replacements and is regularly asked to lecture at national meetings on this topic. He also performs surgical training in partial knee arthroplasty for surgeons who are newly learning this technique. He has extensive experience in the use of robotics in partial knee replacement surgery, and is involved in several ongoing research studies regarding the accuracy of implantation of partial knee implants. Dr. Kusuma is also involved in the design and development of new partial knee replacement implants. He is a passionate partial knee replacement surgeon who understands very well the benefits of partial knee replacements over total knee replacements in appropriate patients.
